ISO/TS16949 is the global technical specification for quality management standards in the automotive supply chain. ISO/TS16949 focuses on continual improvement, defect prevention and reduction in variation and waste in the supply chain.
In 2016 ISO/TS16949 will be updated to align with the recently released ISO9001: 2015, which adds increased focus to Risk Based Thinking within a process based Quality Management System.
