ISO 14001 the International Environment standard

A systematic approach to dealing with the environmental aspects of an
organisation. It requires companies to identify the environmental impacts of
their activities.
Once these impacts are identified and evaluated, they must be managed and
must include objectives to demonstrate continuous improvement. Compliance with
legislation must also be demonstrated.

All employees who have an impact on the environment must be competent and
have received training. As with a quality management system, it must be
documented, audited and reviewed on a regular basis.
